This Out Post was upgraded from Traffic Aid Post to Traffic Out Post vide Office Order No. 502/ Force Dt. 06.05.13 & D.O. No. 2082 dt. 07.12.13 , 8
Traffic Posts have been created for Angul Traffic Out Post with an sanction strength of One Sub-Inspector, One Havildar and Six constables.

The Out Post started functioning with the strength of above noted staff w.e.f 10.12.13 being inaugurated by Hon’ble S.P Sri Narasingha Bhol, IPS.

AREA AND JURISDICTION :

The Traffic OP is functioning overall administrative control of IIC, Angul PS and responsible for traffic control duty under Angul PS jurisdiction.

BUILDING AND ACCOMMODATION :

The Out Post is now functioning in the building inaugurated by Hon’ble C.M Naveen Pattnaik on 04.09.05 inside Angul PS campus.

SIGNAL POSTS-

Currently 5 signal posts are operated i.e. at Razz Hotel Chhak, Police Station Chhak, Harimahuri Chhak, Hulurisingha Chhak and Hemsurpada Chhak. The Light
Signal Posts at Razz Hotel Chhak and Police Station Chhak are presently out of order after last Filin disaster.

NO ENTRY TIMING –
The restriction of heavy vehicles is imposed at three entry points i.e. at Hulursingha Chhak, Razz, Hotel Chhak and Kumanda-Bhandubar from 6.00AM to 8.00PM
as per the order of District Magistrate, Angul. All the points have been guarded by HGs.

BAZAR TRAFFIC CONTROL-

Home Guards are being deployed at all important chhaks like Hero Honda Chhak, Bazar Chhak, Central Lodge Chhak, Medical Chhak, Medical Gate, Ghoda Chhak,
Bus stand, Kanchan Talkies Chhak, Budhithakurani Chhak etc. for smooth passage of vehicles and parking.
